General Policies
Students will meet one-on-one with me, Madeline Lee, unless otherwise specified and previously planned. All individuals will be charged for a missed session if there is not 24 hours notice given. Payment can be made through Venmo, check, or other means agreed upon with the payee. Payment schedules can be negotiated with the individual payee. I will ask, upon starting to work with a student 1-1, that I have permission, and a signed form, to talk with the child’s teachers as needed. This is to ensure that my goals and insights are working in collaboration with the child’s classroom experience. In addition, sharing any testing and reports is highly recommended, to ensure that the instruction supports all recommendations and accommodations.
If students are to meet virtually, the hope is that they have a device that supports Zoom/ FaceTime/ Skype or some other mutually agreed upon platform for video conferencing. If learning through the computer, the student should have their materials accessible in their learning space, be in a distraction free environment, and have access to an adult or other person who can aid them with any technical challenges. Strong internet connection is needed to ensure uninterrupted learning.
Students who are meeting in person will be asked to come to my office. This space does not have a waiting area that meets COVID protocols, so I ask that parents send me a text when they arrive. I will either come down to meet the student, or if age appropriate, meet the student at the office. I will have the needed supplies, unless I have directly contacted the adult to bring something in particular. At the end of the session, the child will go back outside to meet their ride.
For all learners, reports will be given in an informal manner, usually through email, unless a more formal report is asked for.
Please feel free to reach out with additional questions. Thanks!
